I Will Boast In Christ Alone

Verse 1
You stepped into this mess
You took on flesh to dwell with us
Your glory set aside
To serve Your Father’s will
Obedient to death
You hung upon a sinners tree
The innocent condemned
The ransom paid to set us free

Chorus
So I will boast in Christ alone
Give all I am for His acclaim
Count my riches all as loss
That I might magnify His name
Every claim and crown
Father tear them down
That I might boast in Christ

Verse 2
How could I boast in strength
My flesh is weak, my courage fails
My finest deeds still bear
The scars of all my sin
So I will trust in Christ
His life laid down, the lost to save
I will not hope in vain
For He has risen from the grave

Bridge
Let the wise not boast in wisdom
Let the strong not boast in strength
Let the rich not boast in riches
But boast in Christ instead
